IMPORTANT SAFETY
INSTRUCTIONS
When using electrical appliances, basic
precautions should always be followed to
reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and
injur incy to persons, luding the following:
1. Read all instructions before using this All Season
Comfort™Fan & Heater.
2. The heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do
not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. If provided,
use handle when moving this product. Keep
combustible ma such as furniture,terials, pillows,
bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains at least 3
feet (0.9 m) from the front of the heater and keep
them away from the sides and rear.
3. Extreme caution is necessar when any y heater is
used by or near children or invalids and whenever
the heater is left operating and unattended.
4. Always unplug product when not in use.
5. Do not operate this product with a damaged cord
or plug or after it malfunctions, has been dropped
or damaged in an manner. Return product toy
authorized service facility for examination,
electrical or mechanical adjustment, or repair.
6. Do not use outdoors.
7. This product is not intended for use in bathrooms,
laundry areas and similar indoor locations. Never
locate product where it may fall into a bathtub or
other water container.
8. Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover
cord with throw rugs, runners or the like. Arrange
cord away from traffic area where it will not be
tripped over.
9. This product is for use on 120 volts. This
appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider
than the other). To reduce the risk of shock, this
plug is intended to fit only one way in a polarized
outlet. If the plug does not fit securely in the
outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit,
contact a qualified electrician. DO NOT attempt to
defeat this safety feature.
10. This product draws 12.5 amps during operation.
To prevent overloading a circuit, do not plug the
product into a circuit that already has other
appliances working.
11. It is normal for the plug to feel warm to the touch;
however, a loose fit between the AC outlet
(receptacle) and plug may cause overheating and
distortion of the plug. Contact a qualified electrician
to replace loose or worn outlet.
12. To disconnect the product, first turn off the heater
and fan, then grip the plug and pull it from the
wall outlet. Never pull by the cord.
13. Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any
ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an
electric shock or fire, or damage the heater.
14. To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes
or exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft
surfaces, like a bed, where openings may
become blocked.
15. heaA ter has hot and arcing or sparking parts
inside. Do not use it in the areas where gasoline,
paint, or flammable liquids are used or stored.
16. Use this product only as described in this manual.
Any other use not recommended by the
manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock,
or injury to persons.
17. Avoid the use of an extension cord because the
extension cord may overheat and cause a risk of
fire. However, if you have to use an extension
cord, the cord shall be No. 14 AWG minimum size
and rated not less than 1875 watts.
18. The output of the heater may vary and its
temperature may become intense enough to burn
exposed skin. Use of this heater is not
recommended for persons with reduced sensitivity
to heat or an inability to react to avoid burns.

• Place the All Season Comfort™Fan & Heater on a firm, level, open surface free from obstructions and at
least 3 ft. (0.9m) away from any combustible materials. DO NOT use on an unstable surface such as
bedding or deep carpeting. Be sure the heater is not in a position where it may be tripped over by small
children or pets.
• With the product OFF (both the heater and fan on/off buttons will be elevated), plug into a polarized
120V wall outlet.
• NOT FORCE THE POLARIZED PLUG INTO THE OUTLET; it will only fit one way.DO
• Do not use with any converters or timers.
TO OPERATE THE HEATER MODE:
• Press the red heater On/Off button ( ) on the
top, control, next to the thermostat to turn the
heater mode on.
• The power light will illuminate on the front of
the product.
• Turn the thermostat knob clockwise to turn
up the heat.
• When the room reaches a comfortable tempera wly turn the thermosta control counter-ture, slo t
c until the heater goes off. This is the point at which the thermostat setting equals thelockwise
room temperature. At this setting, the thermostat will automatically turn the heater on and off to
maintain this selected temperature.
• terPress the red On/Off heater button to turn off and unplug the hea
when you are finished using it.
NOTE: THIS PRODUCT IS EQUIPPED WITH A SAFEGUARD™ALER HEATT
INDICATOR BADGE (FIG. 2). WHEN THE SAFEGUARD™ALERT BADGE
LOCATED ON THE GRILL CHANGES FROM BLACK TO RED THE GRILL IS
HOT TO THE TOUCH. DO NOT TOUCH THE GRILL UNTIL THE UNIT HAS
BEEN TURNED OFF AND THE SAFEGUARD™ALERT BADGE HAS TURNED
BACK TO BLACK.
USING THE OSCILLATION FEATURE:
Your HZ-0300 All Season Comfort™Fan & Heater is equipped with an
oscillation option. If you wish to use this feature, press the oscillation button
( ) and your unit will oscillate side to side. Push the oscillation button ( ) again to turn the oscillating
feature off.

19. Do not operate the product with a damaged cord or plug or if the product malfunctions, is dropped or
damaged in any manner (see warranty).
20. Avoid contact with moving fan parts.
21. Place the product on a dry level surface.
22. Do not operate if the housing is removed or damaged.

TO OPERATE THE FAN MODE:
• Press the blue fan On/Off button ( ) on the top to turn the fan mode on. (The power light will not
illuminate on the front of the product in the fan mode).
• To operate your Turbo Air Circulator Fan, turn the fan control knob to the desired fan speed: HIGH (
III),
MEDIUM (II I) or LOW ( ).
• Press the blue fan On/Off button ( ) to turn off and unplug the fan when you are finished using it.
USING THE OSCILLATION FEATURE:
Your HZ-0300 All Season Comfort™Fan & Heater is equipped with an oscillation option. If you wish to use
this feature, press the oscillation button ( ) and your unit will oscillate side to side. Push the oscillation
button ( ) again to turn the oscillating feature off.

The heater function is equipped with several devices and features for added protection.

TROUBLESHOOTING
If your heater shuts off unexpectedly, safety features may have been activated to prevent overheating.
If this happens:

• Check that the thermostat is not set too low. Turn the thermostat up until the heater starts.

We recommend that the All Season Comfort™Fan & Heater be cleaned at least once a month.

• Use only a dry cloth to clean the external surfaces of the product.
DO NO USE WATER, WAX, POLISH, OR ANY CHEMICAL SOLUTION.T
• The fan grille is removable for cleaning. Remove the 3 screws with a phillips head screwdriver and use
only a dry cloth to clean the grill. Be sure the fan grille is in place with the screws tightly fastened before
operating the fan.
• DO NOT immerse the unit in water and never allow water to drip into the motor housing.
• When not in use, pack the unit with the cord bundled in its original container and store in a cool, dry place.
