Getting to know your phone
Call key
It allows you to
make and answer
calls.
End/Power key
It ends or rejects a call. It
turns the phone on/off.
Press once to return to
the standby screen.
Main screen
Navigation keys
In standby mode:
Up: Messaging
Down: SIM services
Right: Games & Apps
Left: Contacts
In menu: It navigates between menus.
OK key Right soft key
It goes to call register
directly. Use this key to
go back to a previous
screen.
Left softy key
It goes to Menu
directly.
Home screen Key
It goes to standy
screen or Menu.
Clear Key
It deletes a character
with each press.
Hotkey
It goes to a predefined
menu.

Changing the call settings
1 Press
Menu, select Settings
and . Calls
2 From here you can amend
the settings for:
- Choose whether Call divert
to divert your calls.
Call barring - Select which
calls you would like to be
barred.
Call waiting - Be alerted
when you have a call waiting.
Fixed dial number - Choose
a list of numbers that can be
called from your phone.
Excuse message - Save an
excuse noti cation message
before you reject a call.
Common settings - Refer to
below contents in details.
- Choose Video call setting
wether to use a private
image or not on your video
calls.

Answer mode - Allows you
to set the answering mode.

be sent when making an
outgoing call.
Off - Your number will be
withheld when making an
outgoing call.
Minute minder - Determines
whether to sound a tone every
1 minute when you are on the
phone.
Auto redial - Allows you to set
the auto redial function when a
call attempt has failed.

calendar all require entering
text. The following text input
methods are available in the
phone: T9 mode, Abc mode,
and 123 mode.
Note: Some elds may allow
only one text input mode (e.g.
telephone number in address
book  elds).
Text input mode using the
keypad
When you want to enter text,
for example when writing
a message, the keypad will
default to Abc mode. If you are
entering a number, for example
when making a call, the keypad
converts automatically into
numbers.
Setting up your email
You can stay in touch on the
move using email on your
GU285g. It’s quick and simple
to set up a POP3 or IMAP4
email account.

2 Select E-mail and then
choose .E-mail accounts
3 Select Add and follow the
pop up instruction and enter
the information required.
Sending an email using
your new account
To send/receive an email, you
should set up an email account
(see above).

Create new message.
2 Choose E-mail and a new
e-mail window will open.
3 Insert the contact, Cc if you
wish and the subject. Press
down navigation key.
4 Enter your message using
the keypad.
