Operation Instructions
Battery Installation
Insert a CR123 or RCR123 battery with the positive
polarity pointing towards the head as illustrated in
the diagram:
NOTE: Upon battery installation, the built-in power
indicator will blink to report remaining battery
power, for more information, please refer to the
“Power Tips” section.
Caution:
1. Do not install battery backward, it will render the
P05 inoperative.
2. AVOID direct eye exposure.
Brightness Adjustment
With the light turned on, press the “MODE” switch to cycle through High-Mid-Low output. The P05
comes with no memory effect for brightness, it will turn on in “High” by default.
STROBE READY
1. With the light turned off, hold down the “MODE” switch to turn on strobe instantly, release the
switch to turn off.
2. With the light turned on, hold down the “MODE” switch for 0.2 second to enter strobe, pressing
the “MODE” switch again enters brightness adjustment, to turn off, press the tail switch
Note: The P05 has memory effect under strobe mode, turning the P05 on after it was turned off
in strobe mode will resume the same mode.
Power Tips
Upon battery installation, the built-in power indicator will blink to report remaining battery power:
3 blinks, battery power over 50%
2 blinks, battery power below 50%
1 blink, battery power below 10%
Note: The power indication is set to be activated after 5 seconds of power cutoff. To inspect
battery power, please loosen the tail cap, wait 5 seconds and re-tighten it.
Changing Batteries
Batteries should be replaced when any of the following occurs: The power indicators blink rapidly,
output appears to be dim or the flashlight becomes unresponsive.
Maintenance
Every 6 months, threads should be wiped with a clean cloth followed by a thin coating of
silicon-based lubricant.
Warranty Details
Our authorized dealers and distributors are responsible for warranty service. Should any problem
covered under warranty occurs, customers can contact their dealers or distributors in regards to
their warranty claims, as long as the product was purchased from an authorized dealer or
distributor. NITECORE’s Warranty is provided only for products purchased from an authorized
source. This applies to all NITECORE products.
Any DOA / defective product can be exchanged for a replacement through a local
distributor/dealer within the 15 days of purchase. After 15 days, all defective / malfunctioning
NITECORE® products can be repaired free of charge for a period of 60 months (5 years) from the
date of purchase. Beyond 60 months (5 years), a limited warranty applies, covering the cost of
labor and maintenance, but not the cost of accessories or replacement parts.
The warranty is nullified if the product(s) is/are broken down, reconstructed and/or modified by
unauthorized parties, or damaged by batteries leakage. For the latest information on NITECORE®
products and services, please contact a local NITECORE® distributor or send an email to
service@nitecore.com.

Tactical Momentary Illumination
Hold the tail switch partway down to enter momentary illumination, release the switch to turn the
light off.
ON/OFF
Press the tail switch until a click is heard to turn on the P05, press the tail switch again to turn off.
