manual will help you use the many exciting features
of your new LCD TV. Before operating your LCD TV,
please read this manual completely, and keep it

The lightning flash with arrowhead symbol, within an
equilateral triangle, is intended to alert the user to the
presence of uninsulated “dangerous voltage” within the
product’s enclosure that may be of sufficient magnitude
to constitute a risk of electric shock to persons.
The exclamation point within an equilateral triangle is
intended to alert the user to the presence of important
operating and maintenance (servicing) instructions in
the literature accompanying the appliance.
WARNING
To prevent injury, this apparatus must be securely
attached to the floor/wall in accordance with the
installation instructions. See item 26 on page 4.

If you decide to wall mount this
television, always use a UL Listed wall bracket
appropriate for the size and weight of this television.
The use of any wall bracket other than a UL Listed
wall bracket appropriate for the size and weight of this
television for wall mounting this television could result
in serious bodily injury and/or property damage. See
“Removing the Pedestal Stand” ( page 6).
NOTE TO CATV INSTALLERS
This is a reminder to call the CATV system installer’s
attention to Article 820-40 of the U.S. NEC, which
provides guidelines for proper grounding and, in
particular, specifies that the cable ground shall be
connected to the grounding system of the building,
as close to the point of cable entry as practical. For
additional antenna grounding information, see items
34 and 35 on page 4.

Wall Mounting: If you decide to wall mount your
flat panel display, always:

manufacturerand/orlistedbyanindependentlaboratory(such
asUL,CSA,ETL).
•Followallinstructionssuppliedbythedisplayandwallmount
manufacturers.
•Ifyouhaveanydoubtsaboutyourabilitytosafelyinstallyour
flatpaneldisplay,contactyourretaileraboutprofessional
installation.
•Makesurethatthewallwhereyouaremountingthedisplayis
appropriate.Somewallmountsarenotdesignedtobemounted
towallswithsteelstudsoroldcinderblockconstruction.Ifyou
areunsure,contactaprofessionalinstaller.
•Aminimumoftwopeopleare
requiredforinstallation.Flatpanel
displayscanbeheavy.

The LCD panel inside the TV contains glass and a toxic
liquid. If the liquid comes in contact with your mouth
or eyes, or your skin is cut by broken glass, rinse the
affected area thoroughly with water and consult your
doctor.

any time it has been damaged or dropped.

• To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not
use the polarized plug with an extension cord,
receptacle, or other outlet unless the blades can
be inserted completely to prevent blade exposure.
• To prevent electric shock, match wide blade of plug
to wide slot; fully insert.

Installation, Care, and Service
Installation
Follow these recommendations and precautions and
heed all warnings when installing your TV:

to excessive heat such as sunshine,
fire, or the like.

located in such a manner that it can be easily
unplugged in case the product requires service.

Never place the TV on an unstable
cart, stand, or table. The TV may fall,
causing serious personal injury,

Important Safety Instructions

Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized
or grounding type plug. A polarized
plug has two blades with one wider
than the other. A grounding type plug
has two blades and a third grounding
prong. The wide blade or the third
prong is provided for your safety. If the provided plug
does not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician for
replacement of the obsolete outlet.
10) Protect the power cord from being walked on
or pinched, particularly at plugs,
convenience receptacles, and the point
where they exit from the apparatus.
11) Only use attachments/accessories specified by the
manufacturer.
12) Use only with the cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or
table specified by the manufacturer, or sold with
the apparatus. When a cart is used, use
caution when moving the cart/apparatus
combination to avoid injury from tip-
over.
13) Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms
or when unused for long periods of time.
14) Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel.
Servicing is required when the apparatus has been
damaged in any way, such as power-supply cord or
plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects
have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has
been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate
normally, or has been dropped.

If the TV is dropped and the cabinet or
enclosure surface has been damaged or the TV does not
operate normally, take the following precautions:
