By-alarm-Steuergerät, Programmierung und Verwaltung über Tastatur
mit Display, Spannungsversorgung 230 V~ 50/60 Hz, 8 lokale Eingänge,
mittels Erweiterungsmodulen erweiterbar auf 64, 1 Versorgungsausgang
13,8 Vdc 1,5 A erweiterbar mit Zusatznetzteil, 1 Alarm-Relaisausgang,
1 Wechselrelaisausgang 3 A 24 V~ , mittels Erweiterungsmodulen mit
weiteren 64 erweiterbar, inklusive Metallgehäuse, AP-Installation.
Das Mikroprozessor-Steuergerät verfügt über 8 Eingangsleitungen, kann auf 64 Zo-
nen erweitert werden und wird mittels Tastatur Art. 01705.DE und Einschalter 20478-
19478-14478 gesteuert; sie ist für die Verbindung mit dem 01708 PSTN-Wählgerät
und für den Einbau des 01713.EN sowie des Sprachausgabemoduls GSM-Sen-
der-/Empfängermoduls 01706 vorgerüstet. Die Tastatur mit hintergrundbeleuchte-
tem Display ermöglicht einen direkten und einfachen Dialog seitens des Verbrauchers
bezüglich aller Steuerfunktionen der Anlage. Die kann über die TasProgrammierung -
tatur oder mit bidirektionaler Verbindung über die Telefonleitung direkt im Steuergerät
bzw. über den PC mit installierter Software By-alarm Manager erfolgen.
ACHTUNG: Das Steuergerät wird für die Verwaltung von 6 Zonen vorkonfiguriert
angeliefert, siehe hierzu die auf der Website Vimar zum Download verfügbare
Installationsanleitung. Wenn nach Versorgung der Anlage festgestellt wird, dass
die angeschlossenen Geräte von denen in genannter Vorkonfiguration abwei-
chen, löst die Tastatur ein akustisches Signal aus und meldet einen Manipulati-
onsschutz-Alarm. An dieser Stelle nun folgendermaßen verfahren:
1. Auf der Tastatur den Benutzercode 111111 eingeben, um den Summer
stummzuschalten.
2. Mit ESC das Benutzermenü beenden.
3. Den Installateurcode 123456 eingeben.
4. Das Menü Eingänge aufrufen und die gewünschte Konfiguration anhand der
Tastatur einstellen oder alternativ hierzu die Anlage mithilfe der Software By-
alarm Manager konfigurieren.

INSTALLATIONSVORSCHRIFTEN
Die Installation hat gemäß den im jeweiligen Verwendungsland der Produkte gelten-
den Vorschriften zur Installation elektrischer Ausrüstungen zu erfolgen.
Verkabelung
Für die Verkabelung müssen abgeschirmte, halogenfreie Kabel verwendet werden,
die für die Installation mit Energiekabel der Kategorie I (U0 = 400 V) geeignet sind.
Die VIMAR Artikel der Anschlusskabel für den RS485-Übertragungsbus und die
Kabelverbindung der Geräte lauten folgendermaßen:
• Art. 01732 (2x0,22 mm2)
• Art. 01733 (2x0,50 mm2+2x0,22 mm2)
• Art. 01734 (2x0,50 mm2+4x0,22 mm2)
• Art. 01735 (2x0,50 mm2+6x0,22 mm2)
• WICHTIGER HINWEIS: Die Kabelabschirmung darf nur mit dem Endteil des
Steuergeräts oder der Zusatzversorgung verbunden werden und muss an die
Minusklemme der Versorgungsspannung angeschlossen sein. Die Anschlusska-
bel des By-alarm-Systems entsprechen bezüglich der Verlegung den Netzspan-
nungskabeln; es wird jedoch empfohlen, die Anschlusskabel in einem dedizierten
Kabelkanal zu verlegen und eine parallele Verlegung mit den Netzkabeln und
insbesondere mit Invertern und Lasten wie Pumpen, Brennern, Vorschaltgeräten,
Motoren usw. speziell bei Entfernungen zu vermeiden.

01703.DE
By-alarm programmable control panel that can be managed via
on-screen keyboard, 8 local inputs expandable to 64 via the expan-
sion modules, 1 power supply output 13.8 Vdc 1.5 A expandable with
additional power supply unit, 1 alarm relay output, 1 change-over
relay output 3 A 24 V expandable with another 64 via expansion
modules, complete with metal enclosure, surface mounting.
The microprocessor control panel is equipped with 8 input lines, expandable to
64 zones and is managed with the keyboard art. 01705.DE and with connec-
tor 20478-19478-14478; it is designed for connecting to PSTN communica-
tor GSM 01708 and installing the 01713.EN and the voice synthesis module
transmitter/receiver module 01706. The backlit on-screen keyboard allows a
facilitated direct dialogue by the user for all the system management functions.
The programming can take place directly in the control pan-
el via the keyboard or with a two-way connection over the telephone
line or via the PC where the By-alarm Manager software is installed.
CAUTION: The control panel is supplied already preconfigured for managing
6 zones as illustrated in the installer manual that can be downloaded from the
Vimar website. After powering up the system, if the connected devices are
not the ones contemplated by that pre-configuration, the keyboard will start
sounding, detecting a tamper alarm; then perform the following procedure:
1. Type the user code 111111 on the keyboard to silence the buzzer.
2. Exit the user menu via the ESC key.
3. Enter the installer code 123456.
4. Go into the Inputs menu and set the desired configuration by using the
keyboard or, alternatively, configure the system via the By-alarm Manager
software.

Benutzerinformation
Das Symbol der durchgestrichenen Mülltonne auf dem Gerät oder
der Verpackung weist darauf hin, dass das Produkt am Ende seiner
Lebensdauer getrennt von anderen Abfällen zu sammeln ist. Der
Benutzer muss das Altgerät bei den im Sinne dieser Richtlinie eingerich-
teten kommunalen Sammelstellen abgeben. Alternativ hierzu kann das
zu entsorgende Gerät beim Kauf eines neuen gleichwertigen Geräts
dem Fachhändler zurückgegeben werden. Darüber hinaus besteht die
Möglichkeit, die zu entsorgenden Elektronik-Altgeräte mit einer Größe
unter 25 cm bei Elektronikfachmärkten mit einer Verkaufsfläche von
mindestens 400 m2 kostenlos ohne Kaufpflicht eines neuen Geräts
abzugeben. Die korrekte getrennte Sammlung des Geräts für seine
anschließende Zuführung zum Recycling, zur Behandlung und zur
umweltgerechten Entsorgung trägt dazu bei, mögliche nachteilige
Auswirkungen auf die Umwelt und auf die Gesundheit zu vermeiden
und fördert die Wiederverwertung der Werkstoffe des Geräts.
ERDSCHLUSS
• Die Verkabelung der Sensoren/Kontakte mit den Eingängen sowohl direkt im
Steuergerät als auch an den Erweiterungsmodulen darf 100 m nicht über-
schreiten.
ACHTUNG: Von der Reihenschaltung mehrerer Kontakte wird abgeraten, zu-
mal hierbei der gegebenenfalls geöffnete oder manipulierte Kontakt nicht er-
kannt wird.
Diese Empfehlung gilt um so mehr für die Sensoren, da diese nicht nur die
Alarmanzeige steuern, sondern auch die Manipulation oder die Abdeckung
(doppelter oder dreifacher Abgleich der Eingänge) signalisieren. Das ist hingegen
nicht möglich, wenn die Geräte an demselben Eingang reihengeschaltet sind.
• Die Verkabelung des RS485-Busses kann in freier Topologie erfolgen, so dass
alle jeweils erforderlichen Abzweigungen ausgebildet werden können. Soweit
möglich, wird allerdings eine direkte Verbindung empfohlen.
• Die maximal zulässige Verkabelungslänge beträgt 600 m (Summe sämtlicher
gestreckten Bus-Stränge).
• Mit dem Isolator-/Verstärkermodul Art. 01711 kann der RS485-Bus um weitere
600 m Kabellänge erweitert werden.
Erdschluss des Steuergeräts
Für den Erdschluss ist die entsprechende Klemme unter dem Transformator neben
dessen Versorgungsanschluss zu verwenden; anhand der Faston-Klemme ist dar-
über hinaus auch der Deckel zu erden.
Achtung: Der vorschriftsmäßige Erdschluss schützt das Steuergerät und all dessen
Geräte vor Schäden durch elektrische und atmosphärische Entladungen und ga-
rantiert darüber hinaus den einwandfreien Zustand des Telekommunikationsnetzes.

INSTALLATION RULES
Installation should be carried out in compliance with the current regulations regard-
ing the installation of electrical equipment in the country where the products are
installed.
Wiring
For the wiring, it is necessary to use halogen-free shielded cables suitable for
installation with Category 1 power cables (U0 = 400 V). The VIMAR codes of
the connection cables to be used for the transmission bus RS485 and the wired
connection of the devices are the following:
• art. 01732 (2x0.22 mm2)
• art. 01733 (2x0.50 mm2+2x0.22 mm
2)
• art. 01734 (2x0.50 mm2+4x0.22 mm
2)
• art. 01735 (2x0.50 mm2+6x0.22 mm
2)
• IMPORTANT: The cable shield must be connected only at the end of the control
panel or of the additional power supply and connected to the negative termi-
nal of the supply voltage. The connection cables for the By-alarm system are
compliant for routing with the power supply cables of the mains voltage; how-
ever, we recommend you to lay the connection cables in a dedicated raceway
and avoid laying in parallel with the power supply cables and particularly with
cables of inverters and loads such as pumps, burners, ballasts, motors, etc.,
especially for long distances.
• The wiring of the sensors/contacts to the inputs, both directly in the control
panel and in the expansion modules, must not exceed 100 m.
CAUTION: We do not recommend connecting multiple contacts in series be-
cause you would lose the ability to distinguish the contact that may be open
or tampered with.
This recommendation applies all the more to sensors because, in addition to
managing alarm signalling, they also signal tampering and anti-masking (dou-
ble or triple input balancing) and this cannot occur if the devices are connected
in series on the same input.
• The wiring of the RS485 bus can be made with free topology and you can then
make all the relevant shunting, however it is recommended to make a direct
connection wherever possible.
• The maximum permissible length of the wiring is 600 m (the sum of all the
lengths of bus laid out).
• The isolator/repeater module art. 01711 lets you expand the RS485 bus to get
another 600 m of cable to use for the wiring.
Control panel earth connection
For the earth connection you need to use the specific terminal located under the
transformer by the connection of its mains power supply; the cover should also be
earthed, using the Faston terminal.
Caution: correct earthing protects the control panel and all its devices from faults
caused by electrical and atmospheric discharges and in particular ensures the integ-
rity of the telecommunications network.

WEEE - User information
The crossed bin symbol on the appliance or on its packaging indicates
that the product at the end of its life must be collected separately from
other waste. The user must therefore hand the equipment at the end
of its life cycle over to the appropriate municipal centres for the differ-
entiated collection of electrical and electronic waste. As an alternative
