Read all instru ctions before using.
With slow cook er set at the Off position, plu g cord into wall outlet. After cooki ng
and servin g, turn slow coo ker Off and un plug from wall outlet . Do not le ave slow
cooker plugged i n when it i s not being used.
Slow cooker should alwa ys be unplugged before cl eaning.
Do not l et cord to uch hot surfaces or hang ov er the e dge of t able, cou nter, o r surfa ce
area.
The slow cooke r, its co rd and pl ug should not be use d outdoors, imm ersed i n liquid,
placed near a hot gas or electric burner, or pl aced in a he ated oven.
Do not touch slow cooker pot, cover or el ectric heating base when they are hot. Us e
hot pads o n handl es when l iftin g or carrying. Be v ery careful when movin g cooker if
it contain s hot liquid . Let cool before pouring out.
Supervis e closel y when cooker is bein g used b y or near children.
Use you r cooker only for the cooking tasks describ ed in this booklet. Do not use
attachments with your slow cooker u nless reco mmended b y The W est Bend Comp any

Electric Cord Statement - Your slow cooker has a short cord as a safety precaution to
prevent personal inju ry or propert y damag e resulting from pull ing, tripping or b ecoming
entangled with the cord. Do not allow children to b e near or use this sl ow cooker witho ut
close adult sup ervisi on. If you must use a lon ger cordset or an extension co rd when usin g
this slow coo ker, the cord must be arranged so it will n ot drape or hang over th e edge of a
count ertop, t abletop or surface area where it can b e pulled on b y chil dren or t ripped ov er.
To prev ent el ectri c shock, personal i njury or fir e, the electri cal r ating of t he ex tension co rd
you us e must be th e sam e or more than th e wattage of th e applian ce (wattage i s mark ed on
underside of the base).

HEARTY CHICKE N NOODLE SO UP
2-21/2 pou nds chicken parts , skinned i f desire d
6 cups water
1 medium onio n, chopped
6 ca rrots, cut into ½ -inch pieces
5 ribs celery, cut into ½-inches
1 14 ½ - ounc e can whole t omatoes, undrain ed, cut-up
1½ tabl espoons i nstant chic ken bouill on
1 tables poon dried par sley flakes
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon drie d rosemary leav es
½ teaspoon pepper
1 cup uncook ed fi ne egg noodl es
Cook a t : LO for 8 to 10 ho urs
HI for 5 t o 6 hours
AUTO for 6 to 7 hours
1. Combine all ingredi ents, ex cept egg noodles, in stonew are coo king pot. Pl ace pot i nto
heating base, cover and cook at desired heat setting for time given or until chicken and
veget ables ar e tende r.
2. Remo ve chicken piec es from cooking pot and set asi de to cool slightly. Set control to
HI and add noodl es, stirrin g to combi ne. Cover and co ntinue to c ook 30 min utes.
3. Meanwhil e, remo ve chick en from bo nes and cut into bit e-size pieces. R eturn meat to
cookin g pot and cook until n oodles are te nder. Serves 6 to 8. Set at LO for serving if
desired.
SLOW CO O K ER STE W
2-2½ pounds bee f stew meat , cut int o 1-inch pieces
1 medium onio n, chopped
6 ca rrots, cut int o ½-in ch piec es

5 medi um pot atoes, cu t into ½ piec es
1 28-ounces c an whole tomatoes, undraine d, cut-up
2 10-1/2 ounc e cans beef broth
1½ tabl espoons W orcest ershire sauce
2 tables poons dried parsley flakes
2 bay leaves
1½ teaspoons s alt
½ teaspoon pepper
3 tabl espoons qui ck cooking tapio ca
Cook a t : LO for 8 to 10 ho urs
HI for 5 t o 6 hours
AUTO for 6 to 7 hours
1. Combine all ingredi ents in st oneware cooking pot; stir to bl end.
2. Place cooki ng pot int o heating b ase, cov er and coo k at de sired heat s etting for time
given or until m eat and v egetables are t ender. Re move ba y le aves bef ore servi ng.
Serves 6 to 8. Set at LO for serving.
