Cleaning and Maintenance
The packaging material can be reused or recycled. The packaging materials must be dispo-
sed of at appropriate waste disposal sites. You should contact your supplier immediately if
you detect any damage which has occurred during transport.
Fit the handle to the lid manually, using the nut. Do not overtighten, because the lid can
easily break.
Clean the baking tray and spatulas before using the pizza oven for the rst time.
When rst used, the pizza oven may give off a small amount of smoke and a distinctive
smell. This is normal and will disappear after a short while.
Place the pizza oven on a stable and at surface which is resistant to heat and splashes.
Ventilate the room when using the pizza oven.
Insert the plug into the wall outlet and switch the unit on. Let the pizza oven preheat for 10
minutes.
Use the spatula to slide the pizza into the pizza oven. Leave the pizza on the spatula so that
you can easily remove it again.
Bake the pizza for 5 to 7 minutes. Place the pizza on your plate. Please note that the spatu-
la is very hot. It should be placed on a heat-resistant surface.
After use, switch the appliance off and disconnect from the mains power supply.
Ensure that the power is switched off immediately and leave the appliance to cool down for
at least 30 minutes before cleaning and storing.
The terracotta lid must have completely cooled down before coming into contact with
water. Do not place the warm lid on a cold surface because this may cause damage due to
it cooling down too quickly.
There is no need to clean the terracotta lid after normal use. The terracotta lid is not dish-
washer proof and neither are the other components of the pizza oven. The baking tray and
spatulas can be hand washed with a brush in warm water.
