1 GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The TLM073 is a 7-inch (visible size) 16:9 wide screen colour monitor with a Liquid Crystal Display using Thin Film
Transistor technology. With its compact size and analog RGB
interface, this monitor is ideal for many different applications.
The monitor is full analog colour with RGB vertical stripes.
Viewing direction is 12 o’clock (maximum contrast direction).
The TLM073 monitor is ideal for:
Entertainment use
• In-car entertainment (e.g. in combination with VCR, TV
Tuner, DVD or games)
• In-train entertainment (e.g. Videoseats™, advertisements)
• In-flight entertainment
• Etc.
Information use
• Navigation equipment possible in combination with a rear view
camera (mirror view)
• Professional camera equipment (confidence monitor) for ENG
applications
• Industrial monitor (guarding automatic machines)
• Fleet management (communication home base)
• Medical equipment (exploratory surgery)
• Security equipment (emergency centres)
• Video telephone display
• Etc.
The TLM073 does have the feature for changing aspect ratio modes 4:3 to 16:9. It automatically will choose full dis-
play mode.

• LCD 133,40 cm2 (154,08 x 86,58 mm), 480 (x3) x 234 pixels
• Single supply voltage 9-16 V (automotive applications)
• Infrared LED's for stereo audio transmission (2 channel)
• Front position menu buttons

4. OSD Menu
Menu (1)
Use the Menu button to call up the On Screen Display (OSD) for screen
settings and to select the source.
Ok (2)
Activate the OSD functions selected with Menu (1) and Select (4) and
confirm the settings in the sub-menus.
IR receiver and transmitter (3)
Receiver for infrared signals from the remote control and transmitter for
sending audio signals to the headsets.
Select (4)
Navigation around the OSD and selection of the relevant function or setting.
• STANDBY
- Display Off
Switches off the screen when playing a music CD, for example. The screen can be switched on again by pressing
any button.
Note: Pressing Menu button (1) twice activates the Standby function. The audio transmission stays activated for
using the monitor for audio only (CD/MP3, etc).

- Volume to adjust output level to mini jack
Note: The IR audio output level is not adjusted. This is done at the headphone itself.

Only for screen-specific picture settings.
- Contrast
Set the contrast.
- Brightness
Set the brightness.
- Hue
Set the colour.
- Picture Size
Set the picture size (16:9 or 4:3).
- Return
Back to main menu.
• OSD SETUP
- OSD Timeout
Set the display timeout of the OSD.
- Return
Back to main menu.
Note: The menu can be adapted to your wishes.
5. Infrared transmission
The monitor is equipped with infrared LED's for stereo audio transmission
Selectable channel A: 2,8 L; 2,3 R MHz
B: 3,8 L; 3,2 R MHz
On the backside from the monitor the transmission channel can be switched between A and B. The switch is positions
just below the marked spot on drawing chapter 3. Use a small pin to switch from A to B v.v.
