Bluetooth Speaker

Please read theentire instruction manual before using theproduct
and then save it for future reference. We reserve theright for
any errors in text or images and any necessary changes made
to technicaldata. In theevent of technical problems or other
queries, please contact our Customer Services.
Safety
• Thespeaker may be used by children aged 8 or over
provided they have been instructed in thesafe use of
theproduct and that they understand thehazards and
risks involved. Cleaning and maintenance may be carried
out by children aged 8 or over, but only under adult
supervision. Keepthespeaker out of reach of children
under theage of 8.
• Thespeaker may be used by persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capability, lack of experience
or knowledge which could jeopardise their safety, provided
they have been instructed in thesafe use of theproduct
and understand thehazards involved. Neverlet children
play with thespeaker.
• Thespeaker should not be taken apart or modified. Nevertry
to open thecasing of thespeaker. Thecasing houses
dangerous current-carrying non-insulated components.
Contact with these can lead to fire or electricshock.
• Do not cover thespeaker. Adequate ventilation with adistance
of at least 5 cm between ventilation ports and thesurrounding
area is necessary to prevent thespeaker from overheating.
• Place thespeaker on astable, flat surface.
• Do not place thespeaker where it could fall into water or
other liquids. Donot place any objects containing liquid on
thespeaker, such as vases, drinks,etc.
• Do not place thespeaker in constant sunlight or near
naked flames such as wood stoves, lit candles,etc.
• Thespeaker is intended for indoor useonly.
• Never subject thespeaker to high temperature, dust,
heavy vibration, impacts, damp or moisture.
• Protect your hearing. Listening on high volume for
prolonged periods can lead to permanent hearingloss.
• Thespeaker must only be repaired by qualified service
technicians.

Operating instructions
Charging
• Fully charge thebattery before using thespeaker for
thefirsttime.
• Only use thesupplied chargelead.
• Connect theincluded charge lead to thecharging port (10)
on theBluetooth speaker and to acomputer or other USB
charger.
• TheLED indicator will shine red while thebattery is
charging and change to green when thebattery is fully
charged.
• When thebattery is almost fully discharged, thespeaker
will emit anaudible signal and then shutoff.
Connecting an external Bluetooth device
1. Turn thespeaker on by setting the [ OFF/ON ] switch (9)
to the position. TheLED indicator will flash red/blue ON
which indicates that thespeaker is detectable for pairing
with other Bluetooth devices.
2. Activate Bluetooth on thedevice to be paired with thespeaker.
3. Thespeaker will appear on your device as “BX50”, select it
and pair it with your device. Referto theinstruction manual
of your device for further clarification if you are unsure.
4. Once connection has been established theblue LED
indicator on thespeaker will flash slowly.

7. [ ►ll ] Play/pause. Holdin for 3 seconds to shut off
thecurrent Bluetooth connection and begin searching for
other devices.

5. Start playback on theexternal device. Setthedesired
volume levels both on your external device and
thespeaker. Control theother playback settings on
theexternal device and on thespeaker.
Note: Ifyou are prompted to enter aPIN code on your
device, you should enter (four zeroes). Certain 0000
devices may also require you to approve theconnection.
6. Thespeaker will re-connect automatically with thedevice
with which it was last paired when it has been switched
back on again and theBluetooth function is activated.
Handsfree
• If you have connected amobile phone to thespeaker via
Bluetooth and receive acall whilst you are listening to
music, thespeaker will emit aring signal and themusic
will be switched off automatically. Oncethecall has been
ended, music playback will be resumed (if your phone
settings enable this).
• Press [ ] if you want to use thehandsfree function for
yourcall.
AUX IN
• Thespeaker is equipped with a3.5 mm AUX IN socket
for connecting anexternal audio device of your choice.
AnyBluetooth connection is automatically switched off
once anexternal device is connected to the3.5 mm
AUXIN socket.
• Theplayback of theexternal device connected to
theAUX IN socket cannot be controlled from thespeaker.
Theplayback can only be controlled using thecontrols on
theexternal device itself.
Care and maintenance
• Wipe thespeaker clean with adry cloth as and when
required.
• Fully charge thespeaker battery every third month if it is
not to be used for alongtime.
• Store thespeaker in adry location when it is not inuse.
• Thebuilt-in speaker battery cannot be replaced.
Troubleshooting guide
TheBluetooth
speaker will not
switchon.
Thebattery might beflat. Recharge
thebattery.
No sound from
theexternal
device
connected via
Bluetooth.
• Check both thevolume and that
play/pause has been activated on
thedevice.
• Make sure that aBluetooth
connection has been properly
established.
• Test theplayback of thefile on
thedevice itself before connecting
it to thespeaker.
• Try playback using anotherfile.
Thefile you are attempting to play
may be damaged.
• Make sure that no other wireless
devices are disrupting thecurrent
Bluetooth connection.
No sound from
theexternal
device
connected via
the3.5mm
AUXIN socket.
• Check thevolume and that play/
pause has been activated on
thedevice.
• Check that thecable connecting
thedevice and thespeaker
is undamaged and securely
connected.
• Test theplayback of thefile on
thedevice itself before connecting
it to thespeaker.
• Try playback using anotherfile.
Thefile you are attempting to play
may be damaged.

regulations. Ifyou are unsure how to proceed, contact your
local council.
