Connections
Carefully unpack the loudspeakers and retain the carton and packing materials for future use. Please ensure that all system
components are turned off prior to making any connections. Make sure that your amplier speaker’s definition is set to SMALL
and the subwoofer denion is YES. Turn all equipment off. When connecting the speakers, be sure to retain the correct
polarity. Most speaker cables will have (+) red sign for posive and (-) black sign for negative.
Front speakers: Connect the speaker cable to the positive (+) front-left speaker terminal on the amplifier and to the positive (+)
terminal on the front-left speaker. Connect the speaker cable to the negative (-) front-left speaker terminal on the amplifier and
to the negave (-) terminal on the front le speaker. Repeat the same step for the right-side front speaker. This method can
be applied to bi-wire terminals as long as the shorting straps are in place. If your amplier is equipped with bi-wire output
connection, remove the shorting straps and connect each terminal to the associated terminal in your amplifier.
Center speaker: Connect the speaker cable to the posive (+) center speaker terminal on the amplier and to the positive (+)
terminal on the center speaker. Connect the speaker cable to the negave (-) center speaker terminal on the amp and to the
negave (-) terminal on the center speaker.
Rear speakers: Connect the speaker cable to the posive (+) rear left speaker terminal on the amplifier and to the posive (+)
terminal on the rear-left speaker. Connect the speaker cable to the negative (-) rear-left speaker terminal on the amplifier and
to the negative (-) terminal on the rear-left speaker. Repeat the same step for the right-side rear speaker.
Subwoofer -hi level connections: Connect a speaker wire from the amplifier left speaker terminal to your subwoofer's left input
terminal. Connect another speaker wire from the amplier’s right speaker terminal to your subwoofer’s right input terminal.
Connect the speaker cable to the positive (+) output-le speaker terminal on the subwoofer and to the posive (+) terminal on
the front-left speaker. Connect the speaker cable to the negative (-) output-left speaker terminal on the subwoofer and to the
negave (-) terminal on the front le speaker. Repeat the same step for the right-side front speaker.
Subwoofer low-level connections: Connect a single RCA to RCA cable between the subwoofer input terminal and your amplifier’s
subwoofer output terminal. Make sure the subwoofer switch is in the OFF posion, rotate the GAIN control to MIN and set the
FREQ control to the middle posion. Plug in the AC power cord to your electrical outlet. Turn on your amplier and
subwoofer and play your favorite music. Gradually increase your amplifier’s volume to your desired level. Gradually increase
your subwoofer GAIN level to your desired bass level. Adjust the FREQ control to a point where the subwoofer and rear
speakers perform to your satisfacon. Toggle the PHASE switch between the REV and NOR positions to see which one sounds
better to you. These adjustments are used to match the subwoofer bass reproducon with that of your main speakers. You
can now leave the AUTO/ON/OFF switch in the AUTO posion. This position is voice-acvated; your subwoofer will switch on
automatically only when the subwoofer receives an audio signal from your amplifier.
For optimal results, try a few different types of music.
Position
The front speakers should be placed on each side of your TV or in front of your favorite listening position. As a general guideline,
the space from the speakers to the listening position should be 1.5 times the distance between the speakers. For example, if
your listening posion is 9ft (2.7m) away from the speakers, the distance between the speakers should be 6ft (1.8m)
The center channel speaker should be on top of or just above your TV.
The rear (surround) speakers should be positioned either to the side of, or behind, your listening position. Typical placement is
on the side walls, slightly above ear level, about two-thirds of the way back from the front of the room. This allows the
surround speakers to aim directly at the listener, placing you in the middle of a five-speaker sound field.
The subwoofer can be posioned anywhere in the room; for the best result, position it between the rear speakers or within 15ft
(5m) of the main speakers. It is best to try the subwoofer in a few places around the room and check which one gives you the
best listening experience. To avoid unnecessary vibraons, place the subwoofer on a solid surface.
