Before Use
Carefully remove your kettle from its packaging.
You may wish to store the packaging for future use. Otherwise dispose the packaging according
to the local rules on recycling.
Please read this instruction manual carefully and familiarize yourself with your new appliance
before using it for the first time. Please retain this manual for future reference.

ELECTRICAL SAFETY
Caution: For your own safety read the following instructions carefully before attempting to connect
this unit to the mains. Before switching on make sure that the voltage of your electricity supply is
the same as that indicated on the rating plate.
This unit is designed to operate on AC 230V 50Hz current only. Connecting it to other power
sources may damage the unit. Do not allow this unit to be exposed to rain or moisture.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
IMPORTANT
The mains lead of this product is not replaceable by the user.
If the mains lead is damaged, it must only be replaced by an authorised dealer.
Before first use, fill with water to the maximum mark, bring to the boil and discard - this
will ensure that your kettle is perfectly clean.
Boiling water and steam can cause serious burns. Always place your kettle on a stable,
flat surface and only use the base supplied. Always allow the appliance to cool completely
before cleaning or storage.

This marking shown on the product or its literature, indicates that it should
not be disposed with other household wastes at the end of its working life.
To prevent possible harm to the environment or human health from
uncontrolled waste disposal, please separate this from other types of wastes
and recycle it responsibly to promote the sustainable reuse of material
resources.
Household users should contact either the retailer where they purchased
this product, or their local government office, for details of where and how
they can take this item for environmentally safe recycling.
Business users should contact their supplier and check the terms and
conditions of the purchase contract. This product should not be mixed with
other commercial wastes for disposal.

The exclamation point within the triangle is a warning sign alerting the user of
important instructions accompanying the product.
Never leave the appliance within the reach of children or unable persons.
In the event that you decide to dispose of the appliance, we advise you to make
it inoperative by cutting off the power cord. We also recommend that any parts
that could be dangerous be rendered harmless, especially for children, who
may play with the appliance or its parts.
Packaging must never be left within the reach of children since it is
potentially dangerous.
The lightening flash with arrowhead symbol within the triangle is a warning sign
alerting the user of “dangerous voltage” inside the unit.
To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not remove the cover. No user serviceable
parts inside the unit. Refer all servicing to qualified personnel.
This unit operates on 230V ~ 50Hz.
This unit must not be exposed to moisture or rain.
Ensure all connections are properly made before operating the unit.
This unit should be positioned so that it is properly ventilated. Avoid placing it, for
example, close to curtains, on the carpet or in a built-in installation such as a
bookcase.
Do not expose this unit to direct sunlight or heat radiating sources.

Make sure that the voltage indicated on the rating plate (located
on the underside of the kettle) is the same as the supply voltage in your home. If not, do
not use the kettle and return it to your dealer.
After the kettle has switched off automatically, there may be a short delay before it can be
re-boiled - this is usually no more than 20 seconds.
The safety cutout will operate if you accidentally switch your kettle on when it is empty.
Wait 15 minutes for the cutout to reset before refilling with cold water.
Never immerse the kettle or base in water (or any other liquid) and do not allow water to
penetrate its electrical parts to prevent electrical hazards.
Ensure that the kettle and its mains cable are kept out of the reach of children and pets.
Close supervision is necessary when this appliance is used near children.
The outside surface will get very hot during use. Always take care when handling your kettle.
Always ensure that the kettle is switched off before removing from the base unit.
Beware of steam being emitted from the spout or lid, especially during refilling.
This kettle is intended for normal household use only.
This kettle is intended for boiling water only, nothing else.
It must not be used for anything other than its intended purpose.
Do not use this appliance outside.
Do not insert any objects into holes or slots in this appliance.
This appliance must not be placed on or near any objects that heat up (such as a gas
or electric hob).
Do not allow the mains lead to hang over the edge of the work surface, touch sources
of heat or become knotted.
Do not operate this appliance if the mains lead or plug are damaged, or if the appliance
malfunctions or is damaged in any way. Check the mains lead regularly for signs of
damage.
No user-serviceable parts inside - refer to qualified service personnel.
USING THE KETTLE
NOTE:
Before first use, fill with water to the maximum mark, bring to the boil
and discard - this will ensure that your kettle is perfectly clean.
Place the supplied descaling filter fixing the hooks in the spout, by sliding it down in the
location and pressing gently from the top to hook it on.

WARNINGS!
Always remove the kettle from the base before filling.
Do not overfill as boiling water may be ejected from the spout.
To fill the kettle remove it from the base.
Lift the lid. Fill to the desired level between the (0.5 liter) and MIN MAX (1,7 liter) marks on the
water gauge.
Close the lid by pressing firmly until you hear a click and place back on the base.
Switching On
To switch the kettle on, push the On/Off switch (D) up. The Power Indicator (G) will light.
Switching Off
When the water has boiled the kettle will switch off automatically. You can stop the boiling process
at any time by pressing the On/Off switch down.

Never open the lid if steam is coming from the spout.

Position the kettle on a stable at
surface out of the reach of children and
close to a mains supply socket.
The underside of the base of the kettle
has a cable storage feature as shown
in Fig. 1. Unwind the length of cable
required to reach the mains socket.
Push the cable into one of the three
available slots in the base so that the
base will sit flat on the work surface.
