Important Safeguards

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed,

including the below:

1. To protect against re, electric shock and injury to persons do not immerse cord,

plug, or in water or other liquid.

2. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before

putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.

3. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance

malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner. Return appliance to an

authorized service facility for examination, repair or adjustment.

4. The use of accessories not recommended by the appliance manufacturer as it may

result in re, electric shock or injury to persons.

5. Do not use outdoors.

6. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surface.

7. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.

8. Do not use appliance for other than intended use.

9. Do not clean container with cleansers, steel wool pads, or other abrasive material.

10. To disconnect, turn/press any control to “Off”, remove plug from the power socket.

Always hold the plug. But never pull the cord.

11. Some parts of appliance are hot when operated, so do not touch with your hand. Use

handles or buttons, dial controls only.

12. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children

13. Children should not to play with the appliance.

14. Appliances can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental

capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision

or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand

the hazards involved.

15. This appliance is intended for household use only.

16. To reduce the risk of re or electric user shock, do not attempt to disassemble the

product. There are no user-serviceable parts inside. Repair should be done only by

authorized service personnel.

17. Make sure that your outlet voltage corresponds to the voltage stated on the rating

label of the coffee maker.

18. Scalding may occur if the cover is removed during the brewing cycles. Be careful not

to get burned by the steam.

19. Never leave the empty carafe on the warming plate otherwise the carafe is liable to

crack.

20. Never use the appliance if the carafe shows any signs of cracks or carafe having a

loose or weakened handle. Only use the carafe with this appliance. Use carefully as

the carafe is very fragile.

21. Do not let the coffee maker operate without water.

22. Please do not open the top cover and make sure the glass cup is placed on the

warming plate correctly during the brewing.

Electrical Cord

a) A short power-supply cord {or detachable power-supply cord} is to be provided to

reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.

b) Longer detachable power-supply cords or extension cords are available and may be

used if care is exercised in their use.

c) If a long detachable power-supply cord or extension cord is used:

1. The marked electrical rating of the detachable power-supply cord or extension cord

should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance.

2. The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or

table top where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over.

Attention: If you want to dispose of this equipment, please do not use the ordinary dust

bin!

Used electrical and electronic equipment must be treated separately and in accordance

with legislation that requires proper treatment, recovery and recycling of used electrical

may return their used electrical and electronic equipment to designated collection facilities

free of charge*. In some countries* your local retailer may also take back your old product

free of charge if you purchase a similar new one.
