Introduction
Thank you for choosing the TGM4 counter-top intercom for your through-glass or through-partition
communications installation. This system is easy to install and use and offers flexibility to enable 2-way
conversation in a variety of service applications.
Please read this manual for correct operation and keep for future reference.
Warning
To prevent the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose any components to rain or moisture. If liquids
are spilled on the casing, stop using immediately, allow unit to dry out and have checked by qualified
personnel before further use. Avoid impact, extreme pressure or heavy vibration to the case.

Safety
Check for correct mains voltage before connecting the power adaptor
Use only the power adaptor provided or an identical replacement
(9Vdc, 300mA+)
Placement
The TGM4 main unit is a free-standing unit with a gooseneck microphone.
The microphone is not detachable.
Ensure that the gooseneck microphone is positioned to hear the operator clearly
The client speakerphone can be positioned on a flat surface or upright on a wall or window.
Ensure that the speakerphone is positioned to hear the client and be heard by the client easily.
It may be necessary to drill holes or channels to feed the speakerphone cable and/or power cable.
Cleaning
Use a soft cloth with a neutral detergent to clean the housing as required
Use a vacuum cleaner to clear apertures and controls of any dust or debris build-ups
Do not use solvents for cleaning the unit

Setting up
Th TGM4 comprises a main unit with integral gooseneck microphone for the operator and a e
speakerphone for the client side of the window or partition.
The main unit should be free-standing on a surface close to the operator so that the gooseneck
microphone can be positioned easily pick up the speech of the operator. This unit is powered using the to
9V power adaptor provided. dc
With the power switch (5) in the position, connect the plug- adaptor to the 230Vac mains supply offtop
and the DC connector into the 9Vdc inlet on the rear panel of the TGM4 (6).
Th client speakerphone should be positioned so that the client can hear the output of miniature e its
loudspeaker and the internal microphone can pick up the speech of the client. This may be flat on a
counter-top or upright on the dividing window or partition. A keyhole on the rear of the speakerphone
allows it to be fixed with a screw if needed or double sided self-adhesive pads may be used.
The lead from the speakerphone is terminated with a 3.5mm plug and must be fed through the partition
to the main unit and connected to the socket labelled Speaker (7)
If the intercom conversations are to be recorded monitored, the TGM4 has another 3.5mm socket or
which vides a line level audio signal of both gooseneck and client microphones that can be connected pro
to a recording device or other audio equipment. This socket is wired in stereo and th gooseneck e
microphone is fed to the right channel and the client speakerphone is fed to the left channel.
