SETTING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Setting the Time and Date
(1) Stop the second hand in the “0 seconds” position
by pulling out the crown to 2 then turn crown to
set watch hands to the correct time. In case of a
screw lock-type crown, place in position 2 after
unlocking the screw.
(2) After setting watch to the correct time and
returning crown to the 0 position, the second
hand will be activated and the watch will
commence to keep accurate time.
Due to the mechanical structure of the watch, the
step position of the second hand is not aligned
with the scale on the face. This does not have an
effect on the accuracy, however.
Note:
a. To achieve optimal precision when setting the
minute hand, move the minute hand four to five
minutes past and then back to the desired setting.
b. For calendar-equipped watches, do not confuse
AM and PM settings.
c. For watches equipped with locking screw-type
crowns, do not forget to return the crown to the
locked position after setting watch.
2. Setting the calendar
(1) Pull out crown to position 1
(2) Set date by turning crown to the left.
(3) Set day by turning crown to the right.
*For watches equipped with date display only,
date is set by turning crown to the right.
(4) Return crown to 0 position.
Note:
Avoid performing the calendar quick setting operation
between the below listed times:
For watches equipped with date display...9.00 PM-
1:00 AM
For watches equipped with both date and day
display...9:00 PM-4:30 AM
If the calendar quick setting operation is performed
between these times the calendar could be
incorrectly set to the date of the previous day.
After setting watch hands during these times, set
time, day and date accordingly.

The chart opposite gives the waterproof
characteristics inscribed on the face as well as on
the back of your watch and describes what water
activities are possible for the various watches.
Caution
• Always set the crown in the normal position. The
screw lock type crown must be tightened completely.
• Never operate the crown and push button when the
watch is wet. This may allow moisture to enter the
watch resulting in defective water resistance.
• Due to the properties of the material, the durability
of the leather band may become damaged in the
form of discoloration or peeling. When using under
these conditions, first replace the leather band with
a metal band.
• When the watch has been extensively submerged in
seawater or after heavy perspiration, carefully rinse
the watch in tap water and wipe completely dry.
• When water appears to have entered the watch or the
glass clouds and does not become clear for a long
time after the watch was submerged in seawater.
Caution When wearing your watch
• Be particularly careful when wearing your watch while
holding a small child to prevent injury and accidents.
• Be especially careful when engaged in strenuous
exercise or work to prevent injury and accidents to
yourself and others.
• Do not wear your watch while in a sauna or other
location where your watch may become excessively
hot since there is the risk of burns.
Caution Handling the Band
• Be careful when putting on and taking off your watch
since there is risk of damaging your fingernails
depending on the manner in which the band is
fastened.
Warning Handling of Batteries
• Keep batteries in a location out of the reach of
small children.
• In the event a battery is mistakenly swallowed,
immediately consult with your physician and seek
medical care.
Caution Battery Replacement
• If a worn down battery is left in your watch, it may
cause a malfunction due to leakage of battery fluid
and so on. Please make sure to replace the battery
promptly.
• Always make sure to use the designated battery
when replacing the battery.
Caution Occurrences of Rashes
• The case and band of the watch come in direct
contact with the skin in the same manner as
undergarments. Corrosion of the metal or unnoticed
soiling such as that caused by perspiration, dirt and
dust can soil sleeves and other articles of clothing.
Keep your watch clean at all times.
• Wearing this watch may cause itchiness or rashes
on the skin in some persons with sensitive skin or
physical condition. If you think there is something
wrong, please discontinue wearing the watch
immediately and consult your physician.
Possible causes of rashes include:
1. Metal or leather allergy
2, Rust, dirt or perspiration present on the watch
body or band.
Caution Always Keep Your Watch Clean
• Leather bands may become discolored by perspira-
tion or dirt. Always keep your leather band clean by
wiping with a dry cloth.
• Do not wear the band too tightly. Try to leave enough
space between the band and your arm to allow
adequate ventilation.
Caring for your Watch
• Wipe off any dirt and perspiration or other moisture
from the case and glass with a soft cloth.
• Wipe off any dirt from leather band with a dry cloth.
• For plastic or rubber bands, wash off any dirt with
water.
• Avoid the use of solvents since they may cause
deterioration of the materials.
Strong Shocks
• This watch is designed to withstand external shocks
such as those associated with golfing or playing ball.
• Avoid dropping or subjecting to other strong impacts
Temperature
• The function of analog watches may decrease or
the watch may stop running when the ambient
temperature is outside of the range of –10˚C to +60˚.
• Be careful not to leave the watch outside the
normal temperature range (5˚C to 35˚C) for a long
period of time since this may shorten battery life
due to leakage of battery fluid.
Magnetism
• Do not allow your watch to come in close proximity
to magnets.
If the watch is allowed to come in close proximity
with magnetic health devices (magnetic necklaces,
magnetic elastic bands, etc.) or the magnets used
in the latches of refrigerator doors and so forth, it
will not keep the correct time. if this should happen,
move the watch away from the magnet and reset
the watch to the correct time.
Static Electricity
• The integrated circuits used in the watch are
sensitive to static electricity. If exposed to intense
static electricity the watch’s time may become
incorrect.
Chemicals, Gas and Mercury
• Do not expose to chemicals or gas. Be careful of
using chemicals.
Solvents such as benzene and paint thinner (and
products containing solvents such as gasoline,
manicure remover, certain cleaners and adhesives)
may cause discoloration, melting and cracking of
the watch case.
Do not expose the watch to mercury, such as that in
clinical thermometers, since mercury can discolor
the case, face and band of the watch.
Storage
• When not using your watch for an extended period
of time, carefully wipe off any perspiration, dirt or
moisture and store in a proper location avoiding
locations subject to excessively high or low
temperatures and high humidity.

with a similar but not identical part which might
differ slightly in appearance.

depending on environment and the way in which
the watch is used, the benefits of fixing the watch
should be discussed with a salesperson at the

wear and tear on your watch that may result from
normal extended use may make it difficult to
restore your watch to its original level of precision.

inspected and replace watch parts to prolong
the life of your watch.
4. • To ensure their waterproof characteristics, every
2 to 3 years waterproof watches should be taken
