DUALIT UV STERILISER

Dualit’s UV Steriliser offers powerful, chemical-free UV sterilising for your

home. With no water or chemicals required, the UV Steriliser can be used

to sterilise a range of items including make-up, nail and haircare tools, baby

bottles, soothers and toys and household items such as cleaning cloths, keys,

remote controls – even your mobile phone! The UV Steriliser kills 99.9% of

harmful bacteria and viruses and features three functions to sterilise, dry and

deodorise.

Unpack the box with care, keeping all the packaging materials until you are satised everything

is present and in working order. Once satised remove any tags from the appliance body and

recycle the packaging appropriately. Do not remove tags from the cord. You may wish to keep

the box to store your appliance.

• THIS IS AN ATTENDED

APPLIANCE.

• Do not leave appliance unattended during

use, unplug after each use (risk of re if

an unattended appliance is left operating or

plugged in).

• This appliance must not be used by children

younger than 8 years old and persons with very

extensive and complex disabilities. Children

aged 8-14 years and persons with reduced

physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack

of experience and knowledge shall not use this

appliance, unless they are supervised and have

been given instruction concerning the use of

the appliance in a safe way and understand the

hazards involved. Children shall not play with

the appliance.

• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be

made by children unless they are older than 8

and supervised. Keep the appliance and its cord

out of reach of children less than 8 years old.

• Appliances can be used by persons with

reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities

or lack of experience and knowledge if they

have been given supervision or instruction

concerning use of the appliance in a safe way

and understand the hazards involved.

• This appliance is intended for household use

only. If the appliance is used improperly or for

professional or semi-professional purposes or if

it is not used according to these instructions the

Guarantee becomes invalid and Dualit refuses

any liability for damage caused.

Electrical Safety:

Before Connecting to the Mains Supply

• Check that the voltage marked on the

appliance corresponds with the supply voltage.

Risk of electric shock and re.

• We recommend that the appliance is plugged

into a socket that has no other appliance

connected to it. Failure to do this may cause

an overload, trip a circuit breaker, or blow a

fuse. Preferably the socket outlet should be

protected by a residual current device (RCD).

• Unplug the appliance from the wall socket

when not in use, or before moving and

cleaning. Risk of re.

• To be protected against electrical hazards,

re, and injury to persons, do not immerse the

mains lead, plug or appliance in water or any

other liquid. Risk of electric shock.

• NOTE: Any plug cut from the power supply

cord should be disposed of immediately.

Inserting any cut off plug into a 13A socket-

outlet is hazardous. Risk of electric shock

and re.

• Never use the plug without the fuse cover

tted. Ensure replacement fuse is the same

current value as the original. Replacement fuses

are available and should be ASTA approved to

BS1362. Risk of electric shock and re.

• Do not place heavy or hot items on the

appliance or Power Cord or pull on the Power

Cord. The Power Cord is removable if the

Power Cord is damaged it must, for safety

reasons, be replaced with a cord available from

Dualit. Call Dualit’s Customer Helpline on +44

• Do not operate any appliance with a damaged

lead or plug, if the Power Cord is loose in the

Inlet, after the appliance malfunctions or has

been damaged, cracked or dropped in any

manner. Risk of electric shock and re.

• Never t the Power Cord if it is wet or dirty

or using wet hands. Never submerge appliance

or Power Cord and make sure Power Cord is

kept clean. Risk of re or electric shock.

• Firmly insert the Power Cord into the Inlet

located below the box on the rear of the Body.

• Ensure that the appliance is assembled with all

components in place before plugging in. Risk

of injury.

• Should the internal light remain illuminated

after using the appliance, immediately unplug

the appliance and call service centre. Call

General Safety:

• Do not place the appliance or Power Cord on

or near any hot surface, hot hob, gas burner or in

a heated oven or hang over the edge of a table

or countertop. Risk of electric shock, re or

injury.

• Do not store or use in an appliance garage or

under cupboards. Risk of re.

• Do not operate on an uneven surface. The

appliance must only be operated on a at,

horizontal surface. Risk of injury.

• Do not use if dropped, cracked or damaged.

dismantle any parts from the appliance without

• Do not move the appliance while it is

switched on. When moving the appliance, use

both hands and lift holding the Body upright.

• The use of accessory attachments is not

recommended by Dualit and may result in re,

• If appliance emits a burning smell while in use,

stop the appliance immediately and unplug. Call

into the appliance during the Dry or UV & Dry

cycles. Risk of re.

• Do not use ammable materials in the

appliance. Risk of re.

• To prevent damage to the appliance, do not

use alkaline cleaning agents, benzene, thinner,

or alcohol when cleaning. Use a soft cloth and

a mild detergent. Do not use a scouring pad

or abrasive cleaner on the appliance. Risk of

electric shock or re.

• To disconnect, end cycles then remove plug

from wall outlet. Risk of re.

• Product surface and appliance interior is subject

to residual heat after use. Risk of injury.

• WARNING: UV radiation is dangerous for

the eyes and skin. Do not operate the UV-C

emitter outside the appliance.

• Do not use if glass in door is cracked/damaged

or missing. Risk of injury.

• It is intended that replacement of the UV-C

Purication Bulb can be carried out by the

user, read the instructions before replacing the

bulb. Call Dualit’s Customer Helpline on +44

• WARNING: UV-C Purication Bulbs must

be replaced annually. Make a note of when you
