The LVH-3 was designed to switch video and stereo audio signals from up to four sources to
one output. Switching can be made manually with four push buttons or with an external
remote control.Acontrol LED indicates which channel is active. Inputs and outputs are made
on the front panel via RCA jacks. Power connections are made using either the block
terminals or a DC power jack. The unit is compatible with NTSC and PAL systems.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
• Before your initial start-up, please make sure that there are no transport damages. Should
there be any, do not take the device into operation and immediately consult your dealer.
• Operate the device only after having familiarized with its functions. Do not permit operation
by persons not qualified for operating the device.
• Protect the device against humidity and heat. Keep away from heaters and other
heating sources!
• We recommend a frequent cleaning of the device. Disconnect from mains first. Use
a soft lint-free and moistened cloth. Never use alcohol or solvents!
• There are no serviceable parts inside the device. Maintenance and service operations are
only to be carried out by authorized dealers.
• Damage, caused by manual modifications on the device are not subject to warranty. If the
device is used for other purposes than originally intended or if it is not correctly connected,
the product may suffer damages and the guarantee becomes void.
• This product is allowed to be operated with 12-24 V DC. This device falls under protection
class 3 and was designed for indoor use only.
OPERATION
Prior to connecting switch off all units and do not turn them on again until you have made all
necessary connections.
1 Connect each signal source (e.g. camera, DVD player, receiver or audio units) which is to
be switched via an RCA cable to the jacks VIDEO/AUDIO 1-4.
2 Connect the unit to which the video signal is to be switched (e.g. monitor or hi-fi system)
via an RCA cable the jacks OUT. Video equipment must provide a 75 termination.
3 To power the unit 12-24 V DC are required. Either connect a power supply unit to the low-
voltage jack DC 12-24V or connect another power source (e.g. battery or remote control)
to the terminals INPUT. Always observe the correct polarity. Connect the marked core to
the contact "+".
4 The LVH-3 can be remote controlled via the open collector outputs. Connect the relay
contacts of an external remote control to the terminals REMOTE CONTROL 1-4. A
momentary external closure to ground on an input terminal will select the associated input.
Continuous remote closures will select inputs while disabling source selection by the
buttons on the front panel.
5 When power is first applied to the LVH-3, input 1 is automatically selected. To select
another channel press one of the selector buttons 2-4. An LED indicator above each
button shows which input is selected. When a button is pushed, the corresponding video
and audio input is fed to the output and the previously selected source is shut off. Only one
source may be selected at a time.
