4/8-way AV distributing amplifier
The AV distributing amplifier VSD-104/VSD-108 was designed to connect the inputs and outputs of audio-
visual devices (AVdevices) with one another and to amplify the video signals. With the VSD-104/VSD-108
you can view the signal from an AV unit on up to four or eight TV-sets simultaneously, or you can record the
signalby connecting suitable recording units.
• Distribute audio, composite video and s-video television signals from a single AV source to
multiple television monitors
• Daisy-chain several units for larger displays with equal picture quality and save the expense of
additional AV receivers
• Typical applications are information systems in shopping centres, schools, hotels, railway
stations, airports etc.
• Integrated amplifier for lossless signal transmission
• Signal transmission up to 50 meters
• Additional Aux In for connecting a music source
• 12 V power supply via power unit included in the delivery
Safety Instructions
Setting into Operation
•Before your initial start-up, please make sure that there are no transport damages.
Should there be any, do not take the device into operation and immediately consult your
dealer.
• Operate the device only after having familiarized with its functions. Do not permit operation by
personsnot qualified for operating the device.
• Protect the device against humidity and heat. Keep away from heaters and other heating sources!
• We recommend a frequent cleaning of the device. Disconnect from mains first. Use a soft lint-free and
moistened cloth. Never use alcohol or solvents!
• There are no serviceable parts inside the device. Maintenance and service operations are only to be
carried out by authorized dealers.
• Damage, caused by manual modifications on the device are not subject to warranty. If the device is
used for other purposes than originally intended or if it is not correctly connected, the product may
suffer damages and the guarantee becomes void.
The AV distributor must be powered by the supplied 12 V, 500 mA power unit only. The power unit is
allowed to be operated with an alternating current of 100-230 V AC, 50/60 Hz. The power unit falls
under protection-class 2 and the device under protection-class 3. Both devices were designed for
indoor use only.
When connecting, pay attention to the color coding of the connection jacks:
yellow = video signal
red = audio signal right
white = audio signal left
green = AUX audio signal
• Connect the transmission unit and your TV sets to the VSD-104/VSD-108 units according to the
figure below.
• Switch off the devices to be connected before connecting them to the jacks. Do not turn them
on again until you have made all necessary connections.
• Connect the input VIDEO IN/AUDIO IN with the output of your AV source unit (e.g. DVD player,
VCR,AV receiver).
• An additional audio device (e.g. MP3 player) can be connected to the AUX IN jack via a 3.5 mm
mini-stereo jack.
• Connect the supplied power unit to the 12 V DC IN jack. Plug the power unit into your outlet. As
soonas the device is supplied with power, the POWER indicator lights up.
• Switch your TV-sets or recording units to the AV program slot (see the operating instructions of
the respective units). The recording function must be started on any recording devices as well.
• Start playback on the AV source unit.

4/8-fach AV Verteilverstärker
Mit dem VSD-104 bzw. dem VSD-108 AV Verteilverstärker können Ein- und Ausgänge von Audio-
Videogeräten (AV-Geräte) untereinander verbunden und die Videosignale verstärkt werden. Das Signal
eines AV-Gerätes kann auf bis zu vier bzw. acht TV-Geräten gleichzeitig gesehen werden oder, wenn Sie
entsprechendeAufnahmegeräte angeschlossen haben, aufgezeichnet werden.
• Zur Verteilung von Audio, Composite Video und S-Video TV-Signalen von einer AV-Quelle auf
eine große Anzahl von TV-Monitoren
• Verkabeln Sie im Reihenschaltungsprinzip eine große Anzahl von TV-Geräten bei
gleichbleibender Bildqualität und sparen Sie sich den Kauf von mehren AV-Receivern
• Typische Anwendungen sind Informationssysteme in Kaufhäusern, Schulen, Hotels,
Bahnhöfen, Flughäfen etc.
• Eingebauter Verstärker zur verlustfreien Verteilung von Video-Signalen
• Signalübertragung bis 50 Meter
• Zusätzlicher Aux In zum Anschluss einer Musikquelle
• 12 V Spannungsversorgung über mitgeliefertes Netzteil
Sicherheitshinweise
• Bitte überprüfen Sie vor der ersten Inbetriebnahme, ob Transportschäden vorliegen. In diesem Fall
nehmen Sie das Gerät nicht in Betrieb und setzen sich bitte mit Ihrem Fachhändler in Verbindung.
• Nehmen Sie das Gerät erst in Betrieb, nachdem Sie sich mit seinen Funktionen vertraut gemacht
haben. Lassen Sie das Gerät nicht von Personen bedienen, die sich nicht mit dem Gerät auskennen.
• Schützen Sie das Gerät vor Feuchtigkeit und Nässe. Halten Sie das Gerät von Hitzequellen wie
Heizkörpern oder Heizlüftern fern.
• Das Gerät sollte regelmäßig von Verunreinigungen wie Staub usw. gereinigt werden. Trennen Sie
das Gerät zuvor vom Netz. Verwenden Sie zur Reinigung ein fusselfreies, angefeuchtetes Tuch.Auf
keinen FallAlkohol oder irgendwelche Lösungsmittel zur Reinigung verwenden!
• Im Geräteinneren befinden sich keine zu wartenden Teile. Wartungs- und Servicearbeiten sind
ausschließlich dem autorisierten Fachhandel vorbehalten!
• Schäden, die durch manuelle Veränderungen an diesem Gerät verursacht werden, fallen nicht unter
den Garantieanspruch. Wird das Gerät zweckenfremdet oder falsch angeschlossen, kann dies zu
Schäden am Produkt führen und der Garantieanspruch erlischt.
Um den AV Verteiler zu betreiben darf er nur an das mitgelieferte 12 V, 500 mA Netzteil
angeschlossen werden. Das Netzteil ist nur für den Anschluss an 100-230 V AC, 50/60 Hz
Wechselspannung zugelassen. Das Netzteil ist nach Schutzklasse 2 aufgebaut und der AV Verteiler
entspricht Schutzklasse 3. Die Geräte wurden ausschließlich zur Verwendung in Innenräumen
konzipiert.
Inbetriebnahme
Beachten Sie beim Anschluss die farbliche Kennzeichnung der Anschlussbuchsen:
Gelb = Videosignal
rot = Audiosignal rechts
weiß = Audiosignal links
grün = AUX-Audiosignal
• Verkabeln Sie Ihr AV-Quellgerät und Ihre TV-Geräte mit dem AV Verteilverstärker
entsprechend dem Abbildungsbeispiel.
• Schalten Sie alle Geräte vor dem Anschluss an die Verbindungsbuchsen aus und nehmen Sie sie
erst wieder in Betrieb, wenn Sie alle erforderlichen Anschlüsse vorgenommen haben.
• Verbinden Sie den Eingang VIDEO IN/AUDIO IN mit dem Ausgang Ihres AV-Quellgerätes (z.B.
DVD-Player, Videorekorder, Satellitenreceiver).
• Verbinden Sie die Ausgänge VIDEO OUT/AUDIO OUT 1-4 bzw. 1-8 mit den Eingängen Ihrer TV-
Geräte bzw.Aufnahmegeräte.
• Zusätzlich kann an dieAUX IN-Buchse ein weiteres Audio-Gerät (z.B. MP3-Player) mit 3,5 mm Mini-
Stereoklinkenstecker angeschlossen werden.
• Schließen Sie das beiliegende Netzteil an die 12 V DC IN-Buchse an. Stecken Sie das Netzteil in
eine Steckdose ein. Sobald das Gerät mit Spannung versorgt wird, leuchtet die Betriebsanzeige
POWER.
• Schalten Sie Ihre TV-Geräte bzw. Aufnahmegeräte auf den AV-Programmplatz (siehe
Bedienungsanleitung der betreffenden Geräte). Starten Sie bei Aufnahmegeräten zusätzlich die
Aufnahmefunktion.
• Starten Sie am AV-Quellgerät die Wiedergabe.
